Karina Duque ,AKA.........YOGA QUEEN

Born in Venezuela, Publicist by profession and graduated from the National School of Dance in Venezuela in July 1991, where she received training in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance.

She began her training as a Yoga instructor in June 2016, receiving her certification as a Hot Power Vinyasa Yoga Instructor (endorsed by Yoga Alliance) with Master Fred Bush, thus formally beginning her journey as an instructor, which has allowed her to learn from the hand of her students, as well as continue to grow spiritually and mentally by opening her heart with a full consciousness in each class she gives and in each Yoga practice she does.  Karina also supported the "Seno y Vida" foundation in Venezuela for 3 years through exclusive free classes for breast cancer patients and cancer survivors.

In October 2021, she began to be part of the staff of teachers at Limitles Pediatric Center, where she currently works as a teacher assistant, a job that allowed her to discover that children are great teachers who remind us how easy everything can be by seeing through their eyes.  Karina is super happy to have the opportunity to learn new experiences hand in hand with the children.

During my education I noticed that “Special needs children” is a great area that needs special attention from educators.  I decided to volunteer my services in different classroom.

After graduation from College, I started working in the Military Day Care center as a Technical Education Aide.  I started with the 2 years old and then moved to the 3- and 4-years old classroom.  I shared classroom with another teacher with 12 children.

Due to my husband job we moved to Beaufort, South Caroline; where I registered in the Technical College of the Lowcountry and took more Child Development classes to earn more credits to use for my goal of being a “Special Need Teacher.”  I received an Early Child School Credential.

Limitless Pediatric Solution, Bluffton.  Special Education Teacher.

I have been teaching children from different ages since 2002 until now.  My goal is helping special needs children achieve success via functional and life-skills teaching.  How to achieve this goal?

Develop and implement lesson plans for autism, speech impairments, and other physical and learning disabilities.

Ensuring that all students fully comprehend the taught curriculum and provide support to students who require extra guidance.

Adopt distinctive teaching methods to apply for each individual child in the classroom.

Adapt lesson plans according to student’s needs, including both individual and group work.

Maintain an open door for communication with parents and send pictures of their children’s activities.

Provide health and nutritional activities to promote better food choices and exercise habits.

Foster children’s curiosity and interest in learning through hands-on activities.
